BURBANK CA – This year’s Band Pro One World Open House event took place on Thursday 12/12/2019 at the company’s Burbank headquarters.
Band Pro’s Guest of Honor this year was Academy Award winning cinematographer Dean Semler, ASC. Known for his groundbreaking films including: Dances with Wolves, Apocalypto, The Road Warrior, Maleficent and many more; Dean’s work continues to inspire audiences worldwide as well as the next generation of filmmakers.
Band Pro President & CEO Amnon Band noted: “There’s so much to learn from ‘Dances with Wolves’ and Dean’s work in general. He gave us a beautiful, vivid glimpse into the history of this country and a window into the early West. For me, it’s like watching a documentary. We were truly honored to have him at this year’s Open House."

Each December Band Pro’s Open House combines the best television and cinema technology, along with fine food & drink, and attendees comprising a who’s‐who of the global cinematography community. Exhibitors this year include Sony, Canon, RED, Blackmagic Design, Angenieux, Leitz, Zeiss, Fujinon, IB/E Optics, Sigma, 16x9, Inc., ORCA Bags and many more. Band Pro’s exhibit space was 100% rain proof. There was no admission fee, and complimentary valet parking was provided.
Visitors were able to experience the new full frame Angenieux Optimo Primes 40mm & 135mm lenses, the Sony VENICE & FX9, Canon C500 Mark II, and all the latest advances in full frame technology.

Band Pro's tent exhibition space featured a dynamic, interactive camera, recording, and workflow environment where products were displayed as they are actually used on set; together with dedicated Exhibitor Tables. Special guests and lots of giveaways made this the perfect kick off to the holiday season.
